Lot 6155 - Free Me

Est. value: $350

Winning bid: $700

Lot Closed

Free Me by Joe Turner

Designer/Maker: Joe Turner

Size: 11x8x2cm

Notes: Joe Turner's notes:

This puzzle was my 2003 Turner Christmas Puzzle. Most went to family and friends, but two did make it out to the puzzle community. It is a simpler versus of the Free Me 2 puzzle, with four (rather than five) components. There are three separate puzzles needing to be solved to get to the coin.

Includes original information card.

Lot 6156 - Free Me 5

Est. value: $350

Winning bid: $465

Lot Closed

Free Me 5 by Joe Turner

Designer/Maker: Joe Turner

Size: 11x8x2cm

Notes: Joe Turner's notes:

This puzzle was my 2016 Turner Christmas Puzzle. Many went to family and friends, but about 40 made it out to the puzzle community. This puzzle was submitted to the 2017 IPP37 and I was fortunate to receive a Jury Honorable Mention. This auction puzzle was in my collection because the wood has a gorgeous look and I did not want to sell it. But I have decided I do not need to keep so many for myself.

A disclaimer: As part Free Me 5ís internal workings, the bottom piece gets routed near the dovetail. The resulting internal sidewall is rather thin, and sometimes broke. This happened to this puzzle. This is not visible when assembled and has no impact on the function or playability of the puzzle, but I want to make sure all are aware.

Includes original information card and solution sheet.

Lot 6157 - Free Me 6

Est. value: $350

Winning bid: $465

Lot Closed

Free Me 6 by Joe Turner

Designer/Maker: Joe Turner

Size: 12.5x8x2cm

Notes: Joe Turner's notes:

This puzzle was my 2017 Turner Christmas Puzzle. Many went to family and friends, but about 80 made it out to the puzzle community (I planned ahead). This auction puzzle encountered a jam and required a small nail size hole to help me resolve the problem (I will say no more to prevent giving away any secrets). If you look closely, and know where to look, there is a small speck of epoxy filling the hole. The puzzle works well and as expected.

A couple dark marks on one side (see photo). Includes original information card and solution sheet.
