Designer/Maker: Joe Turner

Size: 11x8x2cm

Notes: Goal is to remove the coin. Joe Turner's notes:

This puzzle was the 2003 Turner Christmas Puzzle with about 100 made. Most went to family and friends, but a few have made it out to the puzzle community. Free Me 1 is a simpler versus of the Free Me 2 puzzle, with four (rather than five) components. There are three separate puzzles needing to be solved to get to the coin.

Most of the puzzles have a Kennedy Half-dollar coin. However, approximately 15 (I do not remember specifically) were made with Eisenhower Dollar coins and given to siblings. This puzzle has the Eisenhower coin. The dovetails are loose due to wood shrinkage, but this does not affect solving. The puzzle includes original information card and a solution sheet and it comes from a family collection.

This is the limited version with a $1 coin. Includes original information card and solution sheet.

Designer/Maker: Joe Turner

Size: 15x10x7.5cm

Notes: Goal is open the box and free the coin trapped in the bottom panel. Joe Turner's notes:

This puzzle was the 2018 Turner Christmas Puzzle (although it was produced in 2020) with about 150 made. Some went to family and friends. 100 were made for the puzzle community. This puzzle was a Jury Honorable Mention in the 2020 IPP Puzzle Design Competition.

This is one of three special boxes. I thought they would be fun to make, but could not decide who should receive them, so they are being made available to the community. While the original boxes include maple, cherry, and walnut reptiles, each of these boxes contain all the same reptiles, either maple, cherry, or walnut. The box was made of maple with a contrasting lid inlay.

Each box was tested (again) to verify it operates properly. This puzzle includes the challenge card, the warning note, and the solution pamphlet.

Includes original information card and solution sheet.
