Notes: The Butterfly Box is the last and most complicated of three puzzles in the Lotus Trilogy, boxes all inspired by the Lotus Table (also Pattern Box and Cafe Wall Table), and each featuring different woods and puzzles of various complexity. You must interpret clues and manipulate the eight circular rings to make patterns that will release four drawers. The initial clues are to be found in the two previous Lotus boxes, but they are also provided in the information booklet. Frame made from Bastogne walnut; sides made from quilted maple; dials made from birch, madrone, and wenge. Interior stamp with Kagen's signature logo. Includes original storage box, information/solution booklet and Certificate of Authenticity; limited edition of 98.

Notes: The sliding panels can be set in one of four starting positions of varying difficulty (requiring 18, 42, 58, or 90 moves to open). Crafted in sapele and maple; excellent piece movement. This is the original version that won the Puzzlers' Award and the jury's first prize at the 2002 Design Competition. Includes Certificate of Authenticity and original brochure with solutions. Limited edition of 38.
