Progress?

Designer: Gregory Benedetti
Maker: Cubicdissection

Size: 7x7x7cm

Notes: Take-apart/put-together puzzle, taking 40+ moves, including rotations. This puzzle has see a lot of solving, so moderate wear, some dents due to surfaces bumped by the metal pins, and one sizeable surface blemish (see main photo).

Lot 6568 - 205 Minutes

Est. value: $350

Winning bid: $975

Lot Closed

205 Minutes by Aleksandr Leontev / Cubicdissection

Progress

Designer: Aleksandr Leontev
Maker: Cubicdissection

Size: 8x8x8cm

Notes: This is the Cubicdissection of Aleksandr Leontev's 4-ary cube dissection. The full version required 12,282 moves; at one second per move, that is 204.7 minutes to solve. A replacement piece reduces the number of moves to a mere 8,190. Just be careful not to accidentally reverse a move; otherwise the move count grows indefinitely! This version includes a 4-move reset mechanism (otherwise, reset is a full reversal of the original solve). Made from walnut, mahogany, and maple.

Maker: Cubicdissection

Size: 7x4x3cm

Notes: Trick-opening box, where nothing appears to move (except for the annoying jewel bouncing around inside). Some very light scratches on top panel. Inside signed and dated.
