Designer: Aleksandr Leontev Size: 8x8x8cm Notes: This is the Cubicdissection of Aleksandr Leontev's 4-ary cube dissection. The full version required 12,282 moves; at one second per move, that is 204.7 minutes to solve. A replacement piece reduces the number of moves to a mere 8,190. Just be careful not to accidentally reverse a move; otherwise the move count grows indefinitely! This version includes a 4-move reset mechanism (otherwise, reset is a full reversal of the original solve). Made from walnut, mahogany, and maple. |
