Signature and King
Book
Color Diagram
Bent Corner

Designer/Maker: Franco Rocco

Size: 29x29x5cm

Notes: Nickel and gold-plated cubes form a checkerboard. The playing spaces are represented by gold cubes which rotate, alternating between unoccupied space and the opposing pieces (nickel or gold). Additionally, each "piece" can flip to represent a king (see extra photo). The board completely disassembles into 86 pieces (I've tested about a third of the disassembly). Signature piece includes edition number, 37 of 9999 (see photo). The board is stable with light wear, but not perfectly solid nor perfectly flat (due to the disassembly structure); one corner has a significant bend due to a bent strut (see extra photo); another suppose strut is cracked, causing slight weakness in one corner. Includes 20-page book with general information, B&W and color assembly diagrams, edition summary, and hand-written dedication by the artist to the original owners. This is very heavy (6.5kg), and postage will be more than estimated.

Gold key piece is missing the locking knob which keeps it in place (a second fully functional chrome key directly from Franco Rocco will be added). Signature and edition number are etched in both queen pieces (see photo). This is very heavy (6.5kg), and postage will be more than estimated.
